ELLENDALE, Del.- Delaware State Police are looking for an Ellendale sex offender wanted for failure to re-register his current address with authorities.

Investigators said they got warrants for 49-year-old Dale O. Palmer, who is a Tier III (high-risk) sex offender, after they learned that he failed to register his home address and had not notified the DSP Sex Offender Apprehension and Registration Unit of his status within three days as he is required to do by law.

Police said Palmer, who is supervised by Probation and Parole Home Confinement, has removed his GPS monitoring system when he fled his home and violated his probation.

Palmer is described as black male, 6-foot-tall, 180 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. According to the Delaware Sex Offender Registry, he was convicted in April 2004 of second-degree rape of a victim over the age of 18.

Anyone with information on Palmer's whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 or (302) 739-5882.  Citizens may also provide a tip by texting keyword "DSP" plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES).  Tipsters may also provide information through lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333. Callers can also submit information via www.tipsubmit.com.
