CRISFIELD, Md.- Police have made three more arrests in connection with last week's fatal shooting in Crisfield.

Crisfield Police Chief Michael Tabor said that on Monday evening, 25-year-old Curtis Lee Corbin Jr. of Salisbury was taken into custody after officers conducting surveillance spotted him leaving an apartment at the Somers Cove Apartments (Crisfield Housing Authority). Corbin was charged with being an accessory to first-degree murder in the death of 30-year-old Thomas Lane Edwards of Crisfield.

Tabor said the next suspect sought in the case, 19-year-old Barry Jay Bourkel Jr. of Crisfield, was located Tuesday in Salisbury by members of the Maryland State Police Fugitive Task Force. Bourkel was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder; first- and second-degree assault; handgun use in a felony; reckless endangerment and deadly weapon with intent to injure.

Also on Tuesday, members of the MSP Task Force located another suspect wanted in Edwards' murder, 27-year-old David Lee Anderson Jr. of Crisfield. He was charged with first- and second-degree murder; first- and second-degree assault; handgun use in a felony; reckless endangerment and deadly weapon with intent to injure.

This brings to four the total number of suspects arrested in the homicide investigation. The first suspect arrested in this case was 23-year-old Terry Clifton White of Crisfield, who was taken into custody on Sunday and charged with first- and second-degree murder; first- and second-degree assault; handgun use in a felony; handgun on person and reckless endangerment.

All four suspects in this case are being held without bond.

Edwards was found shot to death with several bullets to the head and neck early Friday morning on a front porch at the Somers Cove Apartments. Edwards' murder has been determined to have been gang- and drug-related, according to Tabor. He also noted that Edwards was a known member of the "Bloods" gang and had been paroled from Eastern Correctional Institution in Westover on Monday, Oct. 15.

This is an active and ongoing homicide investigation, according to Tabor. Anyone with additional information about this case is asked to contact the Crisfield Police Department at (410) 968-1323.
