SALISBURY, Md. (AP) - A debate between Maryland U.S. Senate candidates has been canceled because of Hurricane Sandy.
Salisbury University's Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement announced Sunday that the debate has been canceled.
The debate had been scheduled for Tuesday in Salisbury on the Eastern Shore.
Democratic incumbent Ben Cardin, Republican Dan Bongino and independent candidate Rob Sobhani had been scheduled to take part, as well as Libertarian Dean Ahmad and unaffiliated candidate Ed Tinus.
Cardin, Bongino, Sobhani and Ahmad held their first and only debate so far last week on Larry Young's WOLB-AM radio show.
