Chesapeake Bay Bridge Reopens

STEVENSVILLE, Md.- The Chesapeake Bay Bridge has reopened to motorists, the Maryland Transportation Authority announced shortly after 9 a.m. today.

The bridge was closed late Monday afternoon out of safety concerns due to high wind speeds from Hurricane Sandy.

All the major bridges and tunnels operated by the MDTA are open, although some remain under wind warnings and restrictions.
