WILMINGTON, Del. (AP)- Delaware officials say two of the state's emergency shelters that were set up for Hurricane Sandy are closing.
The state says shelters at Middletown High School in New Castle County and at Smyrna Middle School in Kent County are closing Tuesday. Both shelters were empty.
Five other shelters remain open at William Penn High School in New Castle County, Dover High School in Kent County, and in Sussex County at Milford Middle School, Cape Henlopen High School and Indian River High School. But the state says the populations at each shelter continue to decline.
