Update: Crisfield Drinking Water Restriction Lifted

Posted: Updated:

WESTOVER, Md.– The drinking water restriction in Crisfield has been lifted, announced Harold W. Frock Sr., the city's superintendent of public utilities.

Prior to Frock's announcement, which was made late Thursday morning, health officials had advised residents to use bottled or boiled water, out of concerns that water could be contaminated from flooding associated with Hurricane Sandy.

Residents with continued concerns about their water should call the Somerset County Health Department at (443) 523-1700.
