DelDOT: Access Restored to Prime Hook Beach

DOVER, Del.- Effective immediately, access has been restored to Prime Hook Beach for residents and emergency services via Broadkill Road (Route 16) to North Bay Shore Drive. 

The Delaware Department of Transportation said it was able to arrange access to Prime Hook Beach over private property until Prime Hook Road can be reopened.

The condition of Prime Hook Road is being assessed. It will be repaired and reopened as soon as possible, according to DelDOT. The department said it is too early to know the date on which the road will reopen.
