UD Profs to Debate Economic Issues in Campaign

NEWARK, Del. (AP)- As voters prepare to choose a new president, some University of Delaware professors are weighing in on economic issues facing the country.

UD's Department of Economics is hosting a presidential policy debate Monday evening featuring six economics professors discussing the economic policies of the campaign.

The topics include economic recovery, job creation, government deficits and debt, tax policy, health care, environment, energy and regulation.

Three professors will be presenting the views of Democratic President Barack Obama, and three will be presenting the views of Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

The event at Purnell Hall is free and open to the public.
