Del. Lending 20 Buses to New Jersey


DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware is lending 20 buses to assist transportation needs New Jersey in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.

Twenty buses from the Delaware Transit Corporation were to leave Wilmington on Monday afternoon, headed for a transit garage in North Bergen, N.J.

The buses are used in DART's Resort Transit service, which ended Sept. 16. They will be on loan to NJ Transit to assist in their shuttle service to substitute for inoperative rail lines.

The Delaware Authority for Regional Transit, or DART, will deploy 20 employees to caravan the buses to north Jersey.
