SHA Announces Road Resurfacing Projects in Wicomico County

Updated:

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md.- The Maryland State Highway Administration says that next week crews will begin two road-resurfacing projects in Wicomico County.

On Monday, crews will begin re-paving a two-mile section of southbound Route 13 from Main Street in Fruitland.

The project will begin Nov. 12 and will be completed Nov. 16, weather permitting. Motorists should expect single lane closures from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Tuesday, work will begin on the eastbound and westbound lanes of Route 50 between the Nanticoke Memorial Bridge south to Wallertown Road.

The overlay project will begin Nov. 13, and will be completed in mid-December, weather permitting. Motorists should expect single lane closures from sunrise to sunset Monday through Friday during this time.

The SHA said flaggers, variable message signs, arrow panels and traffic cones will be set up to guide motorists through the work zones.
