Wicomico Yacht Club Holds Toys for Tots Drive

SALISBURY, Md.- This Christmas season the Wicomico Yacht Club has teamed up with Toys for Tots to collect toys and donations for area children in need.

The following member businesses and other businesses have offered to help the yacht club collect toys and donations. These businesses have boxes available for the public to make the donations:

All toys must be new and unwrapped.

If you would prefer to make a cash donation, mail it to: Wicomico Yacht Club, Attn: Boat Parade, P.O. Box 73, Allen, Maryland 21810 OR you can drop it off the night of the yacht club's Christmas boat parade on Saturday, Nov. 24.

All donations need to be made by Wednesday, Nov. 21, to allow time for the boxes to be picked up and ready for the boat parade.

    Another Wicomico County community has private wells with contaminated ground water.  Officials in the Wicomico County Health Department say 8 well in the Doe Run subdivision near Salisbury contain low levels of 1,2 dichloropropane.  This contamination, according to officials, is not connected to the TCE that was found in the Morris Mill community.
