Mike Chesney joined WBOC News as the Dover bureau director in October 2012. Before covering the First State's capital, he was a reporter (and fill-in anchor/producer) at WWMT in Grand Rapids, Mich., WTVW in Evansville, Ind., and KOMU in Columbia, Mo.
Mike graduated summa cum laude and Kappa Tau Alpha, the national journalism honors society, from the University of Missouri's prestigious School of Journalism. While he was in college, Mike worked at CNN International in London, ABC News in Washington, D.C., WHYY-TV in Philadelphia/Wilmington and KMIZ-TV in Columbia, Mo.
Mike is a native of suburban Philadelphia. He loves playing sports and is a huge Philly (and Mizzou) sports fan. Mike is a talented musician, too. His passion is singing. But he also plays a number of different instruments and composes contemporary and orchestral music.
If you have a story you'd like Mike to tell, you want to join him in a song or you'd like to discuss why the Jayhawk is the worst IMAGINARY animal ever, don't hesitate to email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
