Del. State Police Investigate Georgetown Home Invasion

GEORGETOWN, Del- Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that happened Saturday evening in Georgetown.

Police said the incident happened around 7:25 p.m., when two suspects armed with handguns barged into a Savannah Road home through an unlocked front door. 

One suspect ordered one of the home's residents, a 65-year-old woman, into a bedroom, where he stole jewelry and money. The second suspect held the home's other resident, a 20-year-old man, at gunpoint, and stole other items from the home.
 
The suspects then ordered the victims into the woman's car and stole a purse and cash from the vehicle before they fled the scene.

The victims were not hurt.
 
Police said the suspects were described as follows:
 
 
  • Suspect 1: black male, approximately 25 years of age, 5-foot-9, 170 pounds and wearing a hooded sweatshirt (no further physical or clothing description available).
  •  Suspect 2: black male, 27-36 years of age, approximately 5-foot-9, 175 pounds and wearing a hooded sweatshirt (no further physical or clothing description available).
