CAMBRIDGE, Md.- Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge will be resurfacing large portions of the Wildlife Drive, beginning Nov. 21.
The project is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete. Officials said that during this time refuge staff will keep as much of the drive open to the public as possible. However, on Nov. 26 and Nov. 30, due to the quota shotgun hunt, the entire Wildlife Drive will be closed. Entrance fees will not be collected for the duration of the closure, according to officials.
