GREENWOOD, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested a man accused of manufacturing meth in his house in Greenwood. Troopers said a neighboring day care was evacuated while authorities safely dismantled and removed the lab.

Thirty-five-year-old Michael G. Cairo has been charged with two counts of manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Troopers raided Cairo's home on Deep Grass Lane at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday after a two-month investigation. Detectives said they located component mixtures of the manufacturing stages of meth, along with key ingredients in making the drug as well as other drug paraphernalia.

Police said the street where the house was located was closed for three hours while the lab was dismantled.
