HEBRON, Md.- Authorities are investigating a Wednesday afternoon fire that caused thousands of dollars in damage to a vacant mobile home on Waller Road in Hebron.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze was reported by a neighbor at around 2:31 p.m. It took 20 firefighters from the Hebron Volunteer Fire Company approximately 20 minutes to get the fire under control.

There were no reported injuries. The fire caused an estimated $5,000 in damage to the structure, and another $500 in damage to its contents.

Investigators determined the fire started in an enclosed wood-framed front porch. What sparked the fire remains under investigation.
