Driver Killed in Md. Crash - WBOC-TV 16, Delmarvas News Leader, FOX 21 -

PASADENA, Md. (AP)- Anne Arundel County police say a man was killed when his van hit a tree in Pasadena.

An officer saw the van operating erratically on Fort Smallwood Road about 1 a.m. Thursday. Police say the officer activated his cruiser's emergency light and siren to stop the driver, but the car sped away and out of sight.

Shortly afterward, officers found the van had struck a tree. The driver was fatally injured. No one else was in the vehicle.

The accident is under investigation.
