NEWARK, Del. (AP)- Delaware state troopers have arrested two men after they allegedly committed a burglary at a Newark gun shop.
Authorities announced Monday that Jean Encarnacion, of Newark, and Joshua Rodriguez, of Bear, used a shotgun and sledgehammer to get inside a business called X-Ring Supply in Newark on Saturday morning. But police say they were unable to remove any firearms.
Authorities say they were arrested a short time later after a witness gave police a description of the vehicle.
Both men were charged with third-degree burglary, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and other charges.
Authorities say they have linked Encarnacion to robberies at several convenience stores during the morning of Nov. 4. He has been charged with four counts of first-degree robbery in those cases.
