Salisbury, Md. – The Delmarva Shorebirds, class "A" affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, will host Cookies with Claus at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium on Saturday, December 8 from 10am-12pm. The event is free and will take place in the Executive Club at the stadium.
Santa
Claus and Sherman Claus will be in attendance to get everyone ready for
the holiday season. Everybody will have the opportunity to take
pictures with Santa Claus and Sherman Claus in front of a Christmas tree in the club. You must bring your own camera to take pictures.
The
Shorebirds are encouraging all attendees to bring a new and unwrapped
toy, which will be donated to Toys for Tots. All the collected toys
will be distributed to less fortunate children locally on Delmarva. In
2011, our local Toys for Tots campaign delivered over 10,000 toys to
over 5,000 children on the Eastern Shore.
"Cookies with Claus is a great way to get in the holiday spirit," said Shorebirds
general manager Chris Bitters. "We want people to come out to the
stadium, bring a toy for Toys for Tots, take pictures, eat cookies and
just have fun!"
The
Shorebirds will serve hot chocolate and cookies. There will also be
coloring stations and different activities set up for children.
