LAUREL, Del. (AP) - State police say a 24-year-old man suspected of stabbing a man in the face outside a liquor store has turned himself in to detectives.
Police say Manuel Vasquez of Delmar turned himself in Friday afternoon after seeing his picture in the news media. He's been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon during a felony.
Police say Vasquez confronted the 27-year-old victim Thursday afternoon outside the Five Points Liquor Store in Laurel. Police say man tried to walk away, but Vasquez attacked him and stabbed him in the face with a knife several times.
The victim remains hospitalized.
