MILTON, Del.- Delaware State Police are looking for three suspects wanted in connection with a Sunday night home invasion near Milton that put one victim in the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head.

According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 6:39 p.m. as three male suspects, one armed with a handgun, forced their way into the home located on Apollo Lane in the Cave Colony development.

Troopers said one of the suspects pointed a handgun at the 33-year-old male resident and fired a single round, grazing him across the top of his head.  The suspects then tied the hands of the victims, including a 35-year-old female and a 14-year-old male, and demanded cash and jewelry.  The victims complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of money.  No jewelry was taken, according to police. The three suspects then ran out of the home and fled in an unknown direction.

Investigators said the 33-year-old victim was transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes where he was treated for the non-life-threatening gun shot to his head.  The two other victims were not injured in the incident.

At this time police have no additional details about the suspects.
