WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - State environmental officials have issued an administrative penalty against a Wilmington hospital for violating air quality record-keeping rules.
Officials said Monday that the administrative penalty against St. Francis Hospital is for violations of state and federal air quality regulations. The order calls for a cash penalty of $21,860 and an additional $3,279 as cost recovery reimbursement to the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control
But St. Francis will be able to suspend $10,000 of the penalty if complies with the administrative order and does not engage future violations of state or federal law.
Officials say record-keeping violations were discovered during a February inspection.
