CRISFIELD, Md.- Police have announced a sixth arrest has been made in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred back in mid-October at the Somers Cove Apartments in Crisfield.

Crisfield Police Chief Michael Tabor said that on Wednesday, 19-year-old Deandre Andrew Harmon was taken into custody and charged with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, handgun use in a felony and handgun on a person. Harmon, who is from Crisfield, is being held without bail.

Harmon's arrest brings to six the total number of suspects charged in connection with the homicide of 30-year-old Thomas Lane Edwards, who was shot to death on Friday, Oct. 19, at the Somers Cove Apartments (Crisfield Housing Authority).

Edwards' murder has been determined to have been gang- and drug-related, according to Tabor. He also noted that Edwards was a known member of the "Bloods" gang and had been paroled from Eastern Correctional Institution in Westover on Monday, Oct. 15.

This is an ongoing homicide investigation, according to Tabor. Anyone with additional information about this case is asked to contact the Crisfield Police Department at (410) 968-1323.
