RICHMOND, Va. (AP)- Two Richmond men have claimed $1 million prizes in separate Powerball drawings.
The Virginia Lottery says retired Army officer Louis Daniels bought his ticket for the Nov. 28 drawing, which reached a record $587.5 million jackpot. Daniels came within one number of winning the big prize.
A week later, Ron Peyton checked his ticket and discovered he'd won $1 million in the Dec. 5 drawing.
The men claimed their prizes Friday.
