DOVER, Del. (AP/WBOC)- One of three day care workers charged with encouraging two 3-year-old boys to fight and videotaping them hitting each other has pleaded guilty to assault and conspiracy.

Estafania Myers of Felton pleaded guilty Wednesday in Kent County Superior Court. As part of a plea agreement, she agreed to testify against her co-defendants Tiana Harris and Lisa Parker if their trial proceeds as scheduled next Monday.

Myers appeared tearful and nervous during her hearing. Her attorney said she was remorseful and that the incident in March at the Hands of Our Future day care center in Dover was out of character for her.

A judge sentenced Myers to 10 years in prison, but suspended the sentence for a year of probation. The judge barred Myers from working or volunteering in a day care facility while on probation.
