Salisbury Boxer Guerrero Offered First World Title Shot

BROOKLYN, N.Y.- Salisbury, Md. boxer Fernando Guerrero will be vying for his first world title when he takes on defending WBO middleweight champion Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Quillin, 29, of New York City, brought his record to 28-0 after wresting the WBO middleweight crown from Hassan N'Dam on Oct. 20.

Guerrero, 26, has won four straight since losing via TKO to 27-11 boxing veteran Grady Brewer. 

February's fight will be broadcast on Showtime.
