NEWARK, Del. (AP)- State police say two people were arrested in the immediate aftermath of an armed robbery at a fast-food restaurant.
Police say the robbers wore masks, and one brandished a handgun, when they entered the Wendy's on Pulaski Highway in Newark Sunday night.
The robbers forced an employee to remove cash from registers and a safe. The other three employees were forced to lie on the floor of the kitchen.
Police say a passerby informed a nearby trooper about the robbery, and the trooper was able to chase down and arrest one of the perpetrators after using an electronic stun gun on him. The other alleged robber was arrested shortly thereafter.
Thirty-seven-year-old Harold Bissoon and 26-year-old Richard Novello each face numerous charges, including first-degree robbery.
