WASHINGTON (AP)- Washington Wizards point guard John Wall says he is not even contemplating missing the entire season and thinks there's "a 50-50 chance" his injured left knee will respond well when swelling subsides.
Wall says Monday that swelling prevents him from testing his knee with on-court movement. He hasn't participated in a full practice, let alone played in a game, with the 3-18 Wizards.
The 2010 No. 1 overall draft pick got a lubricating shot Friday.
During a rare session with reporters Monday, Wall says of his knee: "Hopefully it heals the right way."
He notes that he'll need to restrict his court time once he returns, "because I'm not going to be fully in the best of shape or play 40 minutes a game like I was used to doing."
