NEWARK, Del.- The University of Delaware Athletics Department announced Wednesday the release of "We Are Delaware," a video feature highlighting Blue Hens student-athletes from across the First State.
"We Are Delaware" focuses on seven Delawareans who chose to stay, or in some cases return to, their home state, to proudly don the blue and gold for Delaware as Blue Hens student-athletes.
The feature includes New Castle County natives Jaquetta May (women's basketball) and Paul Worrilow (football), Kent County natives, Niño Rosal (men's golf), Matt Matsko (men's lacrosse) and Katie Deinert (cross Country and track & field) and Sussex County natives, DJ Long
(baseball), and Bethany Callaway (rowing).
"The State of Delaware is so dynamic," said UD Director of Athletics Multimedia and feature producer Jimmy Smith. "The people, the places, all of that needed to be showcased. Our student-athletes have great pride in the First State and wanted to share that feeling with others. It was an honor to work with them on this project and it taught me a lot
about Delaware too."
Filmed on location in towns and popular locations throughout Delaware, "We Are Delaware" showcases the beach, the countryside, and the urban areas that truly make Delaware a place for everyone.
Watch the full feature and be sure to share with others because "We Are Delaware."
