ICE Arrests 34 Convicted Criminal Aliens in Md.

BALTIMORE- Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials say agents have arrested 34 convicted criminals in Annapolis and the Eastern Shore who are in the country illegally.

Officials say the arrests were made during a 2-day operation this week and took place in the following locations:

  • Annapolis (Anne Arundel County): 9
  • Berlin (Worcester County): 1
  • Queen Anne's County: 3
  • Talbot County: 11
  • Wicomico County: 10

Those arrested have convictions for crimes including driving under the influence of alcohol, theft, criminal possession of a controlled substance, robbery and escape.

According to officials, the 32 men and two woman arrested are from the following countries:

  • Mexico: 15
  • Guatemala: 8
  • El Salvador: 4
  • Honduras: 4
  • Ecuador: 1
  • Trinidad: 1 
  • United Kingdom: 1
