Carl SnowdenANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP)- Court records show the civil rights director for the Maryland Attorney General's Office has been charged with violating his probation in a 2010 drunken driving case.
Carl Snowden is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 7, and he could face 60 days in jail if convicted.
Snowden has had numerous legal problems. He received probation before judgment in a 2003 drunken-driving case. Last month, he was convicted in Baltimore on one count of marijuana possession.
Snowden had also been given probation before judgment in the 2010 case, but the judge erased that after being told it was an illegal sentence because of Snowden's previous probation for driving under the influence. Snowden is appealing that decision.
