DOVER, DE – Paul Reynolds matched his career high with 32 points to lead the Wesley College men's basketball team to a 90-55 victory over Fisher College on Saturday afternoon at Wentworth Gymnasium. The Wolverines (10-4) have now won five straight games and seven of their last eight while the falcons fall to 5-10. Wesley's 90 points is a season-high and the most it has scored since last year's season-opener against Rowan on November 19, 2011.
A Smyrna High School graduate, Reynolds made 13-of-19 from the floor and 6-of-8 from the line to score 32 points for the fourth time in his career. Reynolds also grabbed 11 rebounds to go with six assists and four steals.
Besides Reynolds, Wesley was well-balanced offensively as Wayne Lennon and Leo Rogers scored 11 points apiece while David Langan scored nine to go with a game-high 15 rebounds. Quincy Pettiford chipped in with eight while Eric Selby and AJ Tilghman put up seven points each.
The Wolverines led for the entire game and shot 50% from the floor. They also outrebounded the Falcons, 41-34, and turned 24 Fisher turnovers into 27 points.
Sam Nwadike led the Falcons with 12 points off the bench while Tyler Radicioni made three shots from behind-the arc to finish with ten points.
Wesley is off until 2013 when it hosts Cabrini on Wednesday, January 2 at 5 pm.
