Salisbury Office Building Fire Ruled Arson

Updated:

SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities say a fire that caused minor damage to a Salisbury office building over the weekend was intentionally set.

According to the Maryland Fire Marshal's Office, the blaze occurred shortly before 7 a.m. Saturday, at a one-story Arby's Corporate office located at 114 Ward St.

An employee discovered the fire and called 9-1-1. Ten firefighters from all three Salisbury fire stations responded to the scene, but by the time they arrived on the scene the fire was already extinguished.

There were no reported injuries but the fire reportedly caused approximately $1,000 in damage to the structure and another $100 in damage to its contents.

Investigators ruled the fire arson, saying an ignitable liquid was lit on fire at the rear entrance to the office.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Office of the
State Fire Marshal, Salisbury Office at (410) 713-3780.
