COLLEGE PARK, MD - No. 9 Maryland women's basketball will welcome Brown, Hartford and UMES to College Park for the annual Terrapin Classic Friday and Saturday. The Terrapins will play Brown at noon Friday.
After the Terrapins (8-2) and Bears play on Friday, UMES and Hartford will play at 2:30 Friday. Maryland will play UMES or Hartford Saturday at 4:30 p.m., then Brown will play the other at 7 p.m.

The men's basketball team will take on Delaware State at Comcast Center at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, so traffic may be affected
The Terrapins are coming off their fourth straight win last week at Delaware. They won 69-53 and used a 17-4 run over the final seven minutes to close the win in front of a sellout crowd. Tianna Hawkins, the ACC's leading scorer, added 16 points and 16 rebounds for her sixth double-double in 10 games. Alyssa Thomas added 13 points and 13 rebounds and Katie Rutan had 13 points as well.
Maryland is 1-0 all-time vs. Brown, with their only meeting being in Dec. 2000.
After this weekend's games, the Terrapins will play at No. 16 North Carolina (11-1) Thursday, Jan. 3 at 7 p.m. The game can be heard on AM 1300 and AM 570, as well as online for a fee on UMTerps.com.
