Shots Fired into Home Outside Laurel

LAUREL, Del.- Delaware State Police are investigating numerous shots fired into a home west of Laurel over the weekend.

Troopers were called to a home on the 9000 block of Sharptown Road on Sunday morning after the homeowners reported having bullet holes in multiple doors throughout the house. The victims stated the incident may have happened between 7 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday while they were sleeping. The homeowners were unable to provide any suspect or vehicle information.

Those incide the home at the time of the incident were a 26-year-old woman, a 34-year-old man, a 3-year-old boy and a 2-old-girl. No one was injured by the gunshots, police said.

Meantime, state police detectives continue to investigate an incident that occurred Thursday, Dec. 27, when several shots were fired into a home of a Delaware law enforcement officer who lives in western Sussex County.

Both incidents remain under investigation at this time.
