ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) - The wife of an Ellicott City quadriplegic who died of an oxycodone overdose is scheduled to stand trial for second-degree murder.
Nancy Molony's trial is set for May 20.
She is charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and reckless endangerment in the February 2011 death of her 51-year-old husband, Kevin. He was left paralyzed after a 2007 car accident.
Defense attorney Kimberly Alley says 53-year-old Nancy Molony did not kill her husband.
The state medical examiner's office ruled the case a homicide 10 months after his death. A Howard County grand jury secretly indicted Molony last July.
She is free on $100,000 bond.
