Del. WIC Offices Closing Temporarily for Updates

Posted:

DOVER, Del. (AP/WBOC)- State public health officials are reminding residents that two office locations for the Women, Infants and Children food assistance program are closing temporarily.

The WIC offices at the Hudson State Service Center in Newark and the Shipley State Service Center in Seaford will be closed this week while officials implement a new data system. Other WIC locations in Delaware will not be affected.

The Hudson and Shipley WIC sites will reopen Jan. 14.

Officials say they have been working to ensure a smooth implementation of the data system, not disrupt client services, and alert WIC participants to the office closings.
