CENTREVILLE, Md. – Maryland
Sate Police have charged a 14-year-old girl with conspiracy for her
involvement in the arson December 13,
2012 at Queen Anne's County High School.
Investigators say she sent text
messages supporting setting the fires.
She was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.
A 16-year-old boy, who
is a student at the school, has been charged with setting two fires inside of
the high school. Officers say the blaze
involved file cabinets and boxes of paperwork and was extinguished by school
staff members.
Students and staff evacuated the building, were taken to
another location, and then sent home for the day. No one was injured. Damage and cleanup costs were estimated at
$5,000 in Queen Anne's County.
