Denise Sawyer joined the WBOC newsroom in January of 2013 as the station's weekend video journalist. She graduated from Howard University's School of Communications in December 2012.
Before graduating, she worked as a multimedia reporter at the Howard University News Service. Denise would joke and say that she was as a "professional intern," having interned at WRC, WTTG, WUSA9, WJLA, CBS News, Fox News Channel, Agence France-Presse and the White House.
Denise was born in Miami, Fla., as the youngest of five brothers. Now a Marylander, she is thrilled to call Salisbury home, and can not wait to surf, fish and live the "Delmarvalous" life.
