CRISFIELD, Md. (AP/WBOC)- U.S. Sen. Ben Cardin is scheduled to tour Crisfield to see how recovery efforts from Superstorm Sandy are going.
The senator will visit a disaster recovery center on Thursday with Crisfield Mayor P.J. Purnell. Somerset County commissioners also are scheduled to attend.
Somerset County and Crisfield were hit hard by the storm. Cardin said he is interested in seeing how recovery is progressing, especially since federal assistance was denied at first.
About 585 homes were affected, including 71 in Crisfield.
