SALISBURY, Md - Salisbury police say at about 11 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to Carroll Street following a report that a car had entered the Wicomico River at the intersection of Waverly Drive and Carroll Street.
The car was mostly submerged, police said, and its two adult male occupants were able to escape while only sustaining minor injuries. They were taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for observation but were released a short time later.
The Salisbury Fire Department's Dive Team helped retrieve the car from the river. Police say charges are pending and the investigation continues.
