








DOVER, Del. (AP) - Gov. Jack Markell has nominated the head of Delaware's prison system to fill a vacant judgeship in the Court of Commons Pleas.
Corrections Commissioner Carl Danberg is a graduate of Widener University law school who served two years as state attorney general. His was 1 of 3 judicial nominations announced by Markell on Friday.
The governor also has tapped Vivian Rapposelli and Paul Wallace for two new Superior Court judgeships recently authorized by the General Assembly.
Rapposelli, also a graduate of Widener law school, currently is head of the Department of Services for Children, Youth & Their Families.
Wallace is chief of the appeals unit in the state Department of Justice, where he has worked for 23 years. He has a law degree from the Catholic University of America.
