Energy management system product now available to Kansas City businesses
Lenexa, KS (PRWEB) January 14, 2013
Worldwide Energy is now offering Encelium Lighting Management Systems as part of its lineup of energy efficient solutions. The Encelium system allows monitoring, controlling and scheduling from a computer, either onsite or remotely, to allow users to reduce energy usage.
“Lighting controls are a terrific tool, and a key in energy efficient commercial lighting applications,” said Hunter Kasten, Director of Business Development at Worldwide Energy (http://worldwideenergy.com).
“The systems provide business owners and building managers with improved lighting flexibility and convenience because it allows them the ability to set schedules and optimize lighting levels remotely,” added Kasten.
Based in New Jersey, Encelium Energy Management System is a network-based program that interconnects electronic dimming ballasts, photo and occupancy sensors, and lighting fixtures to one central system. Devices communicate through low-voltage wiring to allow individual control and monitoring. The system features energy management software that is used to commission, configure, and manage the Encelium technology.
Lighting control systems are quickly gaining traction, and according to a recent Pike Research study, “has entered a dynamic period of growth and potential.”
The study projected that the global market for intelligent lighting controls will expand from $1.5 billion in 2012 to more than $4.3 billion in 2020.
“Building-wide lighting management systems have developed rapidly over the past few years, giving building managers better tools with more information and more control,” said Eric Bloom, senior research analyst at Pike Research.
“We’re excited to be able to provide this service to business owners in Kansas City,” added Kasten, “Lighting control systems are a booming technology, and are certainly beneficial to our energy conservation efforts today.”
Worldwide Energy recently installed the first Encelium Management Control System (http://encelium.com) in the Kansas City area at Centrinex, which is estimated to save the company more than $20,000 a year in utility costs.
