CAMBRIDGE, Md.- Police have announced the arrest of a third suspect wanted in connection with last week's home invasion in Cambridge that ended with a 14-year-old girl being shot and wounded.

Cambridge police said that on Thursday, officers, with the assistance of the United States Marshals Task Force arrested 19-year-old Eric Jamal Taylor of Cambridge. Taylor was taken into custody in Vienna, Md., on an outstanding warrant charging him with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of attempted second-degree murder, three counts of first-degree assault, three counts of second-degree assault, three counts of reckless endangerment, firearm in use of a felony, handgun on person, as well as first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary.

Taylor's arrest happened a day after police, again with the assistance of United States Marshals, arrested 18-year-old Sean DeMichaels Jenkins of Cambridge, and 20-year-old Tevin Daquan Green of Easton. Both were located in Baltimore City where they were taken into custody on outstanding arrest warrants charging them with the same offenses as Taylor.

According to police, on the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 15, the three suspects forced their way inside a home at 723 Douglas St. and fired a handgun at the occupants. Investigators said the suspects then chased the 14-year-old victim to the second floor of the home where she was shot twice in the back. The suspects then fled the home, police said.

The teen was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury where she underwent surgery for her injuries. Police said she was later released from the hospital and is currently in an undisclosed rehabilitation center where she is listed in good condition.

All three suspects are being held without bond in the Dorchester County Detention Center.

Anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to contact the Cambridge Police Criminal Investigation Division at (410) 228-3333.
