Markell to Lead Delegation to India Next Month

DOVER, Del. (AP)- Gov. Jack Markell is planning to lead a trade mission to India next month to meet with that country's information technology leaders.

Markell is scheduled to leave Feb. 6 for a 10-day trip. He has been invited by India's National Association of Software and Services Companies to speak at its annual leadership forum in Mumbai on Feb. 13.

As part of the, state officials are working to schedule meeting with manufacturers and health sciences companies in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai.

Markell will be accompanied by Secretary of Transportation Shailen Bhatt and Felicia Pullam, Deputy Director for International Trade.

University of Delaware President Patrick Harker plans to join the trade mission in Mumbai.
