NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say four people were injured in a head-on crash near New Castle and the driver of one vehicle has been charged.

State Police say the crash happened about midnight Saturday in the 100 block of Airport Road. Corporal John Day told The (Wilmington) News Journal that a BMW was heading northbound and crossed the center line, striking a southbound Lincoln Town Car. State Police identified the driver of the BMW as 24-year-old Miguel Rodriguez-Tenorio of Wilmington. Authorities say he has been charged with driving under the influence.

State Police say a 68-year-old New Castle man, a 62-year-old female passenger and a 9-year-old boy in the Lincoln were injured along with the driver of the BMW. All were taken to a local hospital.
