LAUREL, Del. - Delaware State Police say a man who ran on foot after a traffic stop has been arrested on drug charges.
It happened about 10:50 a.m. Sunday in Laurel. Authorities say a trooper saw what appeared to be a drug deal and then followed a car in which the suspect rode off.
Troopers say when the vehicle drove up on a curb, the trooper activated his emergency equipment. Police say when the car pulled over, a man got out on the passenger side and fled.
The man was apprehended, and troopers say a bag he was carrying contained cocaine, heroin, marijuana and Oxycodone pills.
39-year-old Xavier Johnson, of Seaford, has been charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, heroin and marijuana. He is being held on $130,000 cash bond.
