CHINCOTEAGUE, Va.- The body of a North Carolina fisherman was found just north of the Chincoteague drawbridge Tuesday, said Chincoteague Police Chief Edward W. Lewis.

"We found a 56-year-old white male at about 7 a.m. this morning," Chief Lewis said.

Carl Douglas Lewis, of Buford, N.C., was last seen aboard the Susan Rose fishing vessel off Chincoteague between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Monday evening, the police chief said.

He was known to have a heart condition, and while no foul play is suspected at this time, Chief Lewis said the victim's remains are being transported to the State Medical Examiner to confirm a cause of death.
