Man, Toddler Struck While Crossing Road

NEWARK, Del. (AP)- New Castle County Police say a man and his 3-year-old daughter were struck when they were trying to cross the street in Newark.

It happened about 8:45 a.m. Thursday on Harmony Crest Drive. The 33-year-old man and his daughter were hit by a car while walking cross the road. The driver remained at the scene.

The man was admitted to a local hospital in serious condition. His daughter suffered minor injuries and was admitted for observation.

The accident is under investigation.
