5 Arrested in Del. Motel Room Robbery

LEWES, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested five people - including four teens- accused of holding up two young men in a Lewes motel room.

Derrick J. Legree, 25, of Milford; Antonio Peay, 17, of Milford; Alycia M. Peay, 19, of Milford; Skyy Waters, 15, of Millsboro; and Chazna B. Halliday, 15, of Millsboro, are each charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, home invasion with intent to commit a violent felony, second-degree assault and second-degree conspiracy. The three youngest suspects are are being charged as adults along with the two adult suspects.

Police said Alycia Peay, Waters and Halliday had arranged to meet a 19-year-old male and a 20-year-old male at a room in the Anchorage Motel at 18809 Coastal Highway in Lewes. At around 12:30 a.m., police said Legree and Antonio Peay entered the room and robbed the victims with the aid of the females inside. Troopers said Legree was armed with a handgun, and that the suspects stole backpacks with cash inside.

Investigators said that during the course of the takeover, the 20-year-old victim ran out of the motel room and the 19-year-old victim jumped through a glass bathroom window of the motel room to escape and called state police.

The five suspects were arrested after their vehicle was pulled over by Georgetown police about a half-hour after the alleged robbery. After being booked on the aforementioned charges, all five were ordered held on unspecified cash bonds.

Police noted that the 19-year-old male victim suffered cuts from jumping through the glass window and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
